armies ▼ ♞ Noble people demonstrate their authority and power through the number of units at their disposal. Armies can both create and destroy kingdoms depending on who is at the helm. Individuals can attempt to raise armies of their own, or combine forces with another individual to create a mass army. Sellswords and men-at-arms are considered to be the same strength. Sheer numbers will always win a battle, unless there are specific individuals on each side that can contribute to swaying the tide of battle. man-at-arms ▼ Across the region there are many men-at-arms that are simply common men serving a noble house or a specific individual. These people have not taken any specific vows in regard to knighthood, and are still considered to be smallfolk. Cost of Hire:- 100 G for 10 men-at-arms.
Restrictions:- Men-at-arms will never take up arms for someone who is considered smallfolk - unless that person has made a name for themselves somehow.
mercenaries/sellswords ▼ Mercenaries are individual soldiers that hold no allegiance to any lord or country, instead hiring out their services in exchange for payments and other valuable goods. Through this, they are often labelled sellswords as they sell their services with their sword. Cost of Hire:Restrictions:- Sellswords will always abandon their hirer if the individual runs out of money (0). The individual hiring the sellswords must always have coin in their possession.
